I'm a Geospatial Scientist/Engineer and am currently a member of the Ag group within EarthDaily.
Prior to that at Descartes Labs. Before that I held both visiting and staff positions at various research and governmental institutes: CGIAR-IWMI in Sri Lanka, UW-Madison SSEC in Wisconsin and Remote Sensing Institute in Budapest.
I studied Geography in Budapest (MS, Eötvös Loránd University), moved west to the high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and for now I'm in Portland, Oregon.
My name is pronounced something like "matɪaːʃ." It's not quite right and hard to render phonetically but drops you in the right neighborhood.
